Online Winter Adjunct Institute

This online institute has been developed to provide an opportunity for focused professional development for WU adjunct instructors on the classroom environment, course design, and active learning. It is also an opportunity for adjuncts to share ideas for teaching excellence and learning. By the end of this course, participants will be able to

• apply knowledge about making the classroom environment welcoming and inclusive
• select and apply current course design methods to course load
• use a variety of active learning strategies in the classroom to improve student learning

Participants who complete the entire online course will receive a stipend of $150. The class will open December 18, but no assignments will be due until after January 1.
