Brief Descriptions:
Mobility Series: Shinichi
Each class in the mobility series will have a different emphasis: Circulation, Flow and Strength. All focused on physical vitality, alignment and resiliency.
Elemental Vessel: Dana
Qi Gong: The 5 Elements Model, which is an integral piece of many Chinese Internal Martial Arts, will serve as a guide to cultivating awareness of the inner terrain of our body and increasing circulation in our joints and soft tissues, all of which in turn can help nourish a healthy body and calm mind.
Preparing the Ground: We could consider the body as a garden, and following this metaphor, in this class will be approaching movement in terms of how to create the ideal conditions for these gardens to grow and thrive.
Butoh: Deconstruct the Darkness: Shinichi
Investigating this very personal dance with attention to connectivity within the body. Develop your relationship with spiral, extension, contraction and the release of weight that brings motion.
