Event description


The Online Teaching Conference (2020 will be its 20th year) is a unique face-to-face premier gathering of faculty, staff, and administrators leading the way in developing innovative and effective online education. As an inter-segmental conference focused on curriculum, pedagogy and technology to improve online instruction, learning, and student success, the Online Teaching Conference is an opportunity for educators to network with colleagues, connect, share knowledge, impart and receive best practices, and develop professionally. The Online Teaching Conference is brought to you by CCC TechConnect. The OTC is a non-profit event funded under a California Community Colleges Chancellors Office grant.

The Sheraton Pasadena is the official 2020 Online Teaching Conference Hotel. We have secured a limited number of hotel rooms at a discounted group rate of $209.00 plus applicable taxes. The Sheraton Pasadena is connected to the Pasadena Convention Center for convenient accessibility to the conference.

The deadline for booking hotel reservations at the group rate of $209.00 is Tuesday, May 26, 2020 and is based on availability.

Our current parking rate is $15 per vehicle / per day (up to 16 hours). There are also additional lots and metered parking in the surrounding area. In regards to the parking structure across the street (Paseo) mall parking....we do not recommend or instruct event attendees to park there. Since it is managed separately, sometimes the parking team will screen entry and prevent attendees for events at the Convention Center to park there.

What is NOT included in my Conference registration?

- Parking - please visit our Parking and Transporation page for more information.
- Hotel Accommodations - to make your overnight reservation at OTC's host hotel, the Pasadena Sheraton, please visit Sheraton Pasadena Reservations.
- Pre-Conference Workshops (Wednesday, 9:00am - 4:00pm Wednesday - the OTC offers a wide variety of Pre-Conference Workshops, available for an additional fee. Please visit: OTC’20 Pre-Conference Workshops page.

Please note

Badges – All OTC scheduled events, including evening receptions, are for conference ticketed guests only. Event badge required for entry.

Cancellation Policy – ALL TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. If you are unable to attend and would like to TRANSFER your ticket to another name, you can do so by June 3, 2020. Please email the OTC Registration Team at info@onlineteachingconference.org for assistance.

Audio/Video Consent Notification
By entering the event premises, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, webcasts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, or any other purpose by the Online Teaching Conference and its affiliates and representatives.

Policy regarding children
OTC is an adults only event. Due to insurance issues, children are not permitted in the event spaces (workshops, sessions, ballrooms, exhibit hall, receptions, etc.). If you are traveling with children, please make sure you have adequate childcare arrangements in place while you attend OTC events and activities.
