About this event
The Quapaw Nation of Oklahoma is a leading force for Native food sovereignty. This intimate documentary posits buffalo as both a solution to combat climate change, and as a symbol of Indigenous power, healing, and prosperity. Join us in exploring the ways in which the Quapaw Nation is actively working to combat global warming through natural climate solutions, nourishing traditional cultural practices, grappling with the injustices of the past, and leading us into the future.
After a successful film festival circuit, the film "Regeneration of Land and Culture" will be available for the first time online! Join us on January 10th to watch the film and participate in a Q&A with filmmaker Brooke Bierhaus and Ivey-Camille Manybeads Tso, director of award-winning film, Powerlands.
