Join us for an online poetry session to hear select poems from around the French-speaking world and discuss their meanings. Have poetry of your own? Bring it along to share!
This online event is free, but advance registration is required. Donations are appreciated and support the Cultural Programs of the Alliance Française of Washington, DC. All registered people will receive a join link to the online session.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The Alliance Française of Washington, DC was originally organizing this evening celebrating the poetry of le monde francophone as part of the 2020 DC Francophonie Festival. Due to COVID-19, we weren't able to hold this event in March. We are however happy to announce that we have rescheduled it to Friday, June 19, 2020. The event will be held online through the web conferencing platform, Zoom.

About the organizer
The Alliance Française of Washington, D.C. (AFDC) was founded in 1905. Interrupted by World War 2, it reopened in 1949 originally as a social club and became an officially incorporated organization in 1965.
AFDC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-governmental organization, since 1955. It is not subsidized by any government. It is an educational and cultural institution headed by a Franco-American Board of Directors.
