– Sharing Session (15-20min)

1. What does a typical meditation session look like?

Every Sunday at 6:30 AM Pacific, we gather on Google Meet and watch the most recent recording of Venerable Pomnyun Sunim’s weekly guided meditation sessions. Each session lasts about an hour to 90 minutes. Afterwards, we turn on our cameras and share what we felt or realized while meditating.

Once a month, we hold longer meditation sessions where we do 10 minutes of mindful walking in between two 30-minute meditation sessions.

2. Do I have to leave my camera on and/or participate in sharing?

While we highly encourage you to leave your camera on when you’re not meditating, we also understand some people value their privacy. Please feel free to turn on your camera and/or participate in sharing when you’re ready to do so.

3. I am lost. Who do I ask questions to?

There are many ways to ask questions.

*Raise your hand during or after the sharing session.

*Write it in the chat on Google Meet.

*Join our Facebook group and make a post: Facebook

*You can also send Jungto Society questions and/or feedback about the online meditation program:

4. Why should I meditate?

Many people report feeling more focused, calm, rejuvenated, and spiritually satisfied in their daily lives after building a regular habit of meditating. But above all else, to meditate is to spend time wholly on yourself. We believe that being able to focus on your breath while sitting still is one of the lightest steps we can take to focus on finding happiness in our daily lives.
