Online Certification, Universal Design, and Accessibility
This workshop will discuss the process of the Online Certification Program in order for faculty to teach online at St. Mary’s. The two days will also cover the principles of Universal Design and Accessibility in regard to best practices of online education. The goal is to begin brainstorming about the design of a potential online course and to begin training on the application of the course material to Blackboard.
Academic Technology Services, a division of Information Services at St. Mary's Univeristy, offers weekly workshops for students and faculty. Most of our workshops are held in the Center for Instructional Technology in the Learning Commons (1st floor of the Blume Library across from Starbucks) unless otherwise noted. Everyone is encouraged to come and no reservation is required. The workshops generally last an hour, but we schedule a little extra time for questions. Come and go as needed. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Angel Tazzer at 210-431-5009 (email@example.com), Director of Instructional Technology and Training for Academic Technology Services.
