ONLINE- 2016-2017 CSDE Alternate Assessment System Training

PLEASE NOTE: If you are registering for this course prior to 9/29/16 you will be PRE-REGISTERED for this session. This online course will open on Thursday, September 29, 2016 and must be completed by 6:00 pm on Friday, March 17, 2017.
This training* is required for teachers who have primary responsibility for assessing students identified with significant cognitive disabilities in Grades 3-8 and 11 on the Connecticut Alternate Assessment (CTAA) and/or the CMT/CAPT Skills Checklist Science for students in Grades 5, 8 and 10 and those who did not participate in the 2015-16 CSDE Live or Online CTAA & CMT/CAPT Skills Checklist Science Training
Participants in this online required professional learning will demonstrate their understanding of the following: the identification process for the CTAA and CMT/CAPT Skills Checklist Science; the alignment between Connecticut’s Core Standards and the CTAA; and the CTAA and CMT/CAPT Skills Checklist Science procedures, timelines, administration, accessibility features,and resources.

SERC is also conducting two half-day sessions in each of the six regional educational service center (RESC) areas between September 2016 and November 2016. Applicants may participate in any of those sessions or choose to take this course online between September and March.
