Co-directors, Michael “Pom” Preston, member of the Winnemem Wintu tribe, and Natasha Deganello Giraudie will be joining us for a special (online) screening and conversation about healing our relationship with the Earth.
We will be showing their new short film, One Word Sawalmem, and having a dialogue with you around the powerful fountain of hope to be found at the intersection youth, climate resilience and indigenous wisdom.
The film was selected as a finalist in the Tribeca Film Institute short film program is fiscally sponsored by Robert Redford and the Redford Center and was selected for 20+ film festivals in more than 10 countries since its release in March 2020.
The film is for all ages, but the conversation around the film, is best suited for age 12+ and adults. Guests are welcome.
