Starting in 1964 I got my first tastes of being behind a camera and seeing the
results I expected and desired. After all of those years I'm sharing that
experience and knowledge with others via these Tutoring Sessions and all of the
seminars and classes that I offer.
When I offered some special one-on-one tutoring sessions because of a canceled
Photo Excursion, I discovered there was far more demand for these sessions than
I could have guessed. In an effort to address this demand I am now
scheduling some sessions on an ongoing basis to fit into openings on my
calendar. All of these
sessions are intended to be held at a location of your choosing.
These sessions are offered in two-hour units, however I have also offered the
ability for you to add extra hours as necessary at the same discounted rate.
I must warn you that in some cases I will not be available to accommodate the
extra hours, and if that is the case I will notify you as soon as you register
and refund your order for the extra hours. If that makes the initial
session not work for you, then we will refund that also.
You can take advantage of these sessions for any of the following topics:
• Shutter Speeds
• Flash / Available Light
• Studio Lighting
• Photoshop or Photoshop Elements
• Business of Photography
• File Management
• Post-production workflow
• Better Photography with a Point-and-shoot camera.
Sign up for the sessions you need in the time slots available. If you sign
up for multiple consecutive sessions we can be flexible with timing if it
will better fit your schedule. You may bring another person or two with you
to the sessions, but you need to let me know if you plan to do so.
One-on-One Photography Tutoring with Jeff Cowell 2016
Jeff Cowell provides professional Photographic Services and Education in Wichita, KS and around the United States. Although he offers an extensive year-round schedule of seminars and workshops, he is also available for special group presentations. Non-profit organizations can benefit from his fund-raising presentations too.
I have taken every class from Jeff and been on a few excursions and have gone from taking hundreds of snapshots hoping for a few keepers, to taking a handful of photographs and most will be keepers. You will not find many people with as much experience in film development, digital, Photoshop, printing, scanning, business, teaching, studio, modeling, product photography, macro, and a tour guide through Kansas. Jeff can even make a drive through western Kansas a wonderful experience and you will come back with stories to pass on. Mike B.
I have attended Jeff's photography class as well as a couple of workshops. I was a complete novice with my little point and shoot camera. Jeff insisted the camera didn't matter, it was all about trusting yourself to take it off "auto" and learn to really take pictures. The material was presented in a format easy for me to understand with lots of one on one instruction (and with a sense of humor!) He convinced me I was smarter than my camera, and the proof is in the photos. When people look at my photos and tell me I missed my calling and should have been a photographer... well that's a testimony to Jeff! Lori K.
