About the organizer
One Love Long Island (OLLI)was founded by like-minded Long Island women to raise funds and awareness while uniting communities across the span of Long Island with common breath, compassion, and the beautiful practice of yoga. Our pledge is to be united in service for the greater good in commitment to SEVA, and create positive change in our local and global communities. In the 5 years past, OLLI collaborated with Off the Mat Into the World and raised over $95,000 by bringing 20 Yoga Studios together in a round robin 108 Sun Salutation practice to actively participate in creating long-term and sustainable solutions to eradicate sex trafficking. It was inspiring to witness how communities rally around this effort to rid the world of this crime against humanity. In 2016, we continue to advoacate for the cause that inspired One Love Long Island which is to support organizations that work to eradicate the insidious & horrific practice of human trafficking and provide refuge, rehabilitation, & economic opportunities to survivors. And as always, we will be working in collaboration with Off the Mat into the World to support their continued work using yoga to inspire conscious sustainable activism and ignite grassroot social change.
