About this Event

New Memphis offers On the Table to our alumni as an opportunity to create conversations on important community topics that allow different point-of-views to be expressed and heard. These events are limited in size to foster a comfortable, engaging environment, so you are encouraged to register quickly.

Politics, along with sex and religion, were once widely regarded as controversial topics that should be avoided in the workplace. However, today’s workforce cares more than ever about what their employers do to make the world a better place. According to a report by Weber Shandwick, majority of U.S. employees, especially Millennials, believe they have the right to speak up about issues that impact society. In this session we will explore social justice in the workplace and how employees and employers are expected to communicate their values.
