As you prepare to participate, consider how diverse perspectives could invigorate dialogue at your table and challenge yourself to meet someone new. There will be a variety of food options available for purchase. There are many aspects of culture – shared language, norms, beliefs, traditions and customs. Regardless of the culture, successful interactions across cultures are built on trust, understanding, respect and the ability to communicate effectively.

Our objectives are that you meet new people, engage in meaningful conversation and that your ideas, actions and relationships extend far beyond the event.

Subtopics at tables will include:

  • Building trust
  • Overcoming barriers
  • Effective communication
  • Defying cultural norms
  • Healthy conflict
