On the DL presents "Working America"
Event Information
Description
A narrative story is entitled, “Working America”. The story’s foundation is Danielle's personal story working in a 9-5 job, sitting behind a desk thinking about all of the other things she would rather be doing. An idea that is more than just an idea, it is in fact a reality for many people we come across in our daily lives.
The incredibly talented, Rudi Goblen will narrate the story, taking the audience through a roller coaster journey about different people that make up today’s Working America. He will introduce characters like the underachieving genius, the compulsive gambler who has it all and loses it in the end, the boss with a power trip or the brown-nose colleague at work. Through this journey, you the audience will relate to or even possibly hate the characters presented in the story, because they are people that you work with, or perhaps even the person you have become. Through contemporary and hip hop movement, we will challenge those who feel stuck in their everyday routine to perhaps consider following their true passion in life...the one thing that really makes them happy.
For when the day comes that we leave this place, we should all be able to say "this was the best life I could create, live, and cherish".
