About this event

If someone you know collapses or stops breathing... Do you know what to do?

Learning CPR can help save a life during the critical minutes before first responders arrive.

This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® CPR/AED blended learning course (online and in-person) is provided by the Santa Clara County Fire Department.

The blended learning Heartsaver® CPR/AED course includes:

  • Adult, Child & Infant CPR
  • How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • How to assist someone who is choking
  • 2-year Heartsaver® CPR/AED AHA course completion card with CPR mask and gloves kit

The blended learning Heartsaver® CPR/AED course has two parts:

1. Online videos and guided interactive exercises (2 to 3 hours to complete). The online portion of the training may be completed in one session or broken up into several sessions.

2. In-person skills practice and testing session (will take approximately 30 minutes). Skills practice and testing is offered every Wednesday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. at a training site in Los Gatos, CA. No appointment is necessary.

Next steps after registering through Eventbrite:

After registering, Eventbrite will immediately send you a confirmation receipt. After you receive the email confirmation, please allow up to 48 hours to receive your Heartsaver® CPR/AED course enrollment notification from the AHA Learning Portal which gives you access to begin the online training portion of the course.

You will be required to attend a skills practice and testing “drop-in” session at a designated training site in Los Gatos, CA. The online training portion of this course MUST be completed prior to your practice and testing session.

Specific instructions about in-person skills practice and testing, including social distancing requirements, will be provided to all registrants. The 2-year CPR Heartsaver® course completion cards are sent electronically within 5 business days of completing this course.
