ON-CAMERA SCENE STUDY CLASS
This class will focus on beats, actions and super-objectives. It will answer the question, "What do I do to get what I want?" Acting is doing. This class will empower the actor to take risks and enable them to create a memorable character. Actors must get out of their own way. All scenes will be provided.
Actors will begin with a physical warm-up. This exercise will show how willing the actor is to embrace their character. It also shows how much permission they give themselves.
Next, we will define the different kinds of beats to apply to the scenes and discuss the actions to support the chosen super-objective of the scene. Each actor will explore their choices before they go on camera.
The on-camera portion will be conducted as an audition. One at a time the actor will audition for the role. We will show playback and give feedback.
