Join this stone painting workshop to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution on The Channel Islands

About this event

The UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation invites you to take part in a stone painting workshop to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust and Nazi persecution on The Channel Islands.

This event is an opportunity to learn more about this important chapter of British history and to paint and share a Foundation Stone in response to it. Your stone will then become part of the UK Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre in London.

We are delighted that Dr Gilly Carr from the University of Cambridge will speak. She is a member of the UK delegation of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance and is on the academic advisory board of the UK Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre. She is a specialist on victims and survivors of Nazism in the Channel Islands and is passionate about sharing their stories. You can read more about her work here and about stories of the victims and survivors of Nazi persecution through the Frank Falla archive here.

To take part in the session you will need:

A small stone which fits in the palm of your hand

Some decorating materials (paint, pens, even nail varnish)

By signing up to this event you are reserving your place at the workshop. We will be contacting everyone nearer to the event with joining instructions for the online Zoom.
