Red Bull Arts Presents Omar S: Conant Gardens Party Store.

Experience the eclectic collection of Detroit techno legend Omar S in an all-new interactive virtual exhibition. Offering an unprecedented look into the world of the storied Detroit artist, the exhibition will showcase his personal archive in an interactive 8-bit environment at www.redbullarts.com.

Step into the Omar S: Conant Gardens Party Store digital experience to explore the store and its contents, watch videos, listen to original music, and more. This virtual exhibition highlights numerous elements selected from the artist’s collection, including his selection of obscure arcade games—some modified by the artist with custom components and sound effects—films, vinyl records, cartridge video games, Detroit music memorabilia, and related paraphernalia that inspired him.

Alongside the virtual exhibition a full-size replica of Omar S’ family store opens in Red Bull Arts Detroit to release limited-edition merchandise in a series of pop-ups. Additional public programming will accompany the exhibition in both physical and virtual formats.

Please note the below regulations will be enforced:

• There are a limited number of tickets for online purchase
• Walk-ins are welcome, even if the online tickets are marked as sold out
• Reservations are encouraged, but not required
• Masks are required for entry
• You are allowed to reserve entry for you +1
• From the hours of 3:00PM to 6:00PM, there will be a live DJ in the exhibition space, as well as the opportunity to buy custom merchandise unique to the pop-up
• Last entry is at 5:30PM

Ford Drive In Theater, 10400 Ford Rd, Dearborn, MI 48126

Showcasing his passion for obscure films and close connection to the Detroit car community, Omar S takes over the Ford Drive In Theater with a live DJ Set and special screening of a film from his collection - Brewster's Millions (1985) set amongst a bevy of vintage vehicles.

With so much of the country's music industry historically located in NYC and Los Angeles, Detroit musicians have always had the challenge and freedom to find their own path. The need to be resourceful and work outside the existing structure, Detroit's music ecosystem is largely defined by the drive to "do it yourself" from pop soul powerhouse Motown, to eccentric jazz outpost Tribe, to America's favorite clown rappers Insane Clown Posse. This roundtable contextualizes Detroit's DIY ethos of past, present, and future in a discussion with the city's most interesting electronic music label heads.

Safety Precautions & Regulations

• Red Bull Arts has instituted health and safety measures in accordance with guidance from national, state, and local government and health authorities. These measure include, but are not limited to:
• Hand sanitizer will be available upon entering the space, with additional stations found throughout
• All staff and attendees will be required to wear a facial covering at all times. Failure to wear a face covering will result in removal from the exhibition
• Single-use surgical masks will be available upon entry for anyone arriving without their own mask, or in need of a replacement
• Social distancing rules (6 feet distance between individuals) will be enforced throughout the space (with exceptions made for guests visiting the exhibition from the same household)
• No eating or drinking allowed in the space
• The path throughout the exhibition will be marked and guide visitors in one single direction through the exhibition hall. All attendees should follow the marked path.
