Event description

Description

The Oregon Medical Association is hosting a series of events this summer, focused on financial literacy. While this series is open to all members, it is presented by the OMA Women in Medicine and geared primarily toward our female and femme-identifying members. Clearing the Path to Financial Freedom is sponsored by our endorsed partner, The Partners Group.

3 Workshops on topics specific to financial wellness:

Sunday, June 23, 2-4 PM: Understanding Retirement Plans-- How they work, what the investment options are, knowing yourself and how to invest, when and how to consolidate old plans, and more

Sunday, July 28, 2-4 PM: Intentional Budgeting-- Why you need it and how it will transform your relationship with money

Sunday, August 25, 2-4 PM: Building a Rock Solid Financial Foundation-- Savings, estate planning, insurance, and financial organization

Each event can be attended independently, but we encourage you to attend the entire series to fully develop your financial knowledge and skills.

Lead by Luna Jaffe, author of Wild Money and owner of Lunaria Financial Planning

About Luna Jaffe… In her own words, Luna is, “an author, speaker, teacher, mother, partner, creative, traveler, connector, expert demolitionist (figuratively, not literally), and artist who learned (after the age of 40): None of us were born with a money gene. It’s not too late. You can learn how to be savvy with money. Your creative spirit is an asset (not a liability). You are not selfish or greedy for wanting an easeful relationship with money. My path, when I listen to my inner wisdom, reminds me that we each equally deserve to have a natural, delightful, nourishing relationship with money, and I am purposed to be of guidance to all willing travelers.”
