Event description
Oliver Hazard Day is a music festival in downtown Waterville, Ohio on August 17th.

About this Event

Join us for the second annual Oliver Hazard Day in downtown Waterville Ohio! This year is going to be amazing. We have invited 5 other wonderful acts (local, regional, and national acts) to play along side of us in our hometown. We are looking forward to a wonderful a night of live music, a custom crafted Oliver Hazard Day beer and a guitar school for kids, brought to you by Fender Guitars!

The 2019 Lineup

Our host, Oliver Hazard is an indie folk band from Waterville, Ohio. The trio of friends that make up the band captures something that no city slicker could. At the music’s center is a classic Americana spirit, combined with a humble folk tradition. Oliver Hazard has performed at music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Mountain Jam, and Americanafest.

Michigan Rattlers' songs have appeared multiple times on Rolling Stone's list of up and coming country tracks. Recently coming off of a national tour and their appearance at Ann Arbor Folk Festival, the rattlers play heavy-hearted folk-rock with an aching dose of Midwestern nice.

Daniel Donato is a Nashville based guitarist and a 2018 Americana Award nominee. The 23 year old has quickly risen to the national scene as the guitarist for Nashville acts The Wild Feathers, Paul Cauthen and the Don Kelly Band. Daniel is known for his crisp, soulful, on-the-edge telecaster picking. Check out his skills here!

All the way from Romeo, Michigan, and sponsored GoldTone banjo player, Libby Decamp makes dusty folk and roots-inspired music with a lyrical edge. She delivers with a haunting vocal closeness that reaches listeners of all kinds.

Jacob Sigman, hailing from Ann Arbor Michigan, combines old pop with new pop for something fresh but familiar. Sigman presents every note with an easygoing flourish, singing every lyric with a jaunty grin.

Waterville Ohio native Andrew Ellis has one of the most valuable things a folk singer can have: world-weary, believable vocals. His deep, gravelly baritone recalls some of the greats, but like Steve Earle or Johnny Cash, it’s distinctively his own. Andrew has taken his songs far and wide, known for his frequent touring across the European continent. He was one of our inspirations for music early on, and we are very excited to have him.
