Sniff, Slurp, Swirl and Swallow

Join us at The Biondo Bar for an afternoon of Olive Oil tasting at LaBiondo Farm & Kitchen on Vashon Island.

We will taste at least at least 6 Extra Virgin Olive Oils from around the globe, including from our own backyard of the Pacific Northwest. What is the difference between Extra Virgin, (EVOO) Virgin and plain Olive Oil? It may not be what you think...

  • Learn about flavor profiles, everyday cooking EVOO and finishing EVOO.
  • Taste each Extra Virgin Olive Oil “neat” all by itself to get the truest taste on your palate.
  • YES, we will Sniff, Sip, Slurp, Swirl and Swallow.
  • Sample the oils on a variety of proteins, starches and vegetables
  • Enjoy a sweet olive oil cake and take home the recipe.
  • Take home a sample bottle of your favorite olive oil.

Workshop includes beverages, olive oil relevant bites and a sample bottle of your favorite EVOO.
