Old World vs New World Comparative Tasting – September 24

Most of the wines we love around the world have their origins in Europe. So why are they so different?

  • Blind tasting across pairs of multiple varietals, one OW and one NW for each varietal pair
  • Flavor profiling
  • Subjective preferences
  • Geography, climate, and farming
  • Drawing generalizations

Bill Fore has taught at the Culinary Institute of America and the Swiss Hospitality Institute, and was Director of Education with a wholesale wine distributor. He also has a long career in restaurants and retail wine business in Colorado, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
