Event description

Description

Is a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc noticeably different from a Sancerre?

Could you tell a California Cab from a Bordeaux or a Washington Syrah from a Cote Rotie in a blind tasting?

Classic Old World varietals have been rooting themselves in the New World for centuries, and between them, the wines can differ significantly in taste, aroma and style . But what factors make Old World wine different from those of the New World, and are the traditional distinctions between the two beginning to blur?

Join us for a fascinating (and delicious) exploration of the history and evolution of Old World and New World expressions of some of the world’s most iconic wines.

Instructor:

Maxine Borcherding, Sommelier,
