2021 Old Norse Yule Gathering & Viking Feast!

About this event

The Witches, Pagans, Heathens and Healers of the Northern California Black Hat Society (NorCalBHS) proudly presents our annual

2021 OLD NORSE YULE GATHERING & VIKING FEAST !

Happening Friday, December 17th, 2021 at the American River Grange Hall located at 2720 Kilgore Rd in Rancho Cordova, CA.

**New Location – New Caterer – Outdoor Fire Pit & Blót **

This is an invitation only private event for members of the NorCalBHS and our invited guest and community. This is not a public event this year - we are not having vendors - Gathering and Feast only! Our public vendor festivals will resume in 2022.

GATHERING & FEAST INFO:

Doors open at 6pm for drinks, appetizers and mingling.

At 7:30pm, we'll have a formal VIKING FEAST fit for Odin himself! Our meal is being catered by Chef Joe with New Bite – he catered our Samhain event, and it was amazing!

After dinner, we invite you to join us in the courtyard for libations, Fire Dancers, and a Yule Blót Fire Ritual, officiated by the Norsemen of the NorCalBHS.

In order to provide a comfortable setting with adequate space for all attendees, seating is limited so we encourage you to reserve your seat right away!

There is not an admission fee. However, only those who are joining us for dinner are invited to attend. To cover the cost of catering, our community feast is $40 per person or $75 per couple, which includes a meal with tri-tip and smoked chicken breast, gourmet green beans, and roasted potatoes. A salad and dinner rolls will also be provided as well as a drink or bottled water.

Tables will be reserved for the High Council and Members of the NorCalBHS. All other attendees are welcome to sit where they like. Tables accommodate up to 7 and seat cards are available when you check-in if you’d like to reserve your spot(s).

This event is 18+ and ID’s will be checked upon arrival as well as for any/all alcohol consumption, which of course is 21+.

Injury or Illness at Events - the NorCalBHS, a private society, is the promoter and organizer of this event. It utilizes existing grounds, buildings, roadways and/or pathways, owned or leased by the American River Grange Hall #172 . It does so on a “as is basis” and subject to existing faults (if any), the current condition and state of repair, of the grounds, buildings, roadways, and pathways, so that to the extent permitted by law, therefore NorCalBHS and/or the American River Grange Hall #172, disclaims all liability for any injuries, illness, or death sustained, however caused, or contracted, during the Old Norse Yule Gathering & Viking Feast. NorCalBHS will try to make the Yule Gathering & Viking Feast an enjoyable and safe experience, please take care, and stay alert at all times that you are at our event. If you or your minor are injured immediately ask a volunteer for assistance or directions to or first aid room or contact an emergency service. You assume all risks whilst you attend or participate at the Old Norse Yule Gathering & Viking Feast, regardless of what activity you are involved in. By purchasing a ticket, receiving free entry, or receiving a ticket as a performer, or as our guest, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions in your personal capacity and on behalf of any other member of a band or group you are applying for, and for any accompanying minor. If you are accompanied by a minor, you are responsible for their behavior and safety while at the Old Norse Yule Gathering & Viking Feast.License, Ejection and Cancellation - No Redemption Value. NorCalBHS reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct the NorCalBHS and/or the American River Grange Hall #172, their agents, employees, or contractors deems to be disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language or who otherwise fails to comply with any NorCalBHS directions concerning the management of the Old Norse Yule Gathering & Viking Feast.No alcohol is permitted to be brought into the area of the Old Norse Yule Gathering & Viking Feast and only alcohol provided at the event is allowed on the premises. Consuming alcohol is only allowed in the designated areas as set forth by the venue guidelines, Anyone attending the event, no matter affiliation, guest, vendor, performer, etc., who does not comply with the above, will be asked to immediately leave the premises and banned from any future NorCalBHS events.We, the Northern California Black Hat Society, are private community and licensed entity, and therefore we reserve the right to refuse to service.

By reserving your invitation and attending our event, you are agreeing that you have read, acknowledged, and agreed to our Limitations of Liability.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO - By taking part in this event and attending, you grant the event organizers and our agents full rights to use the images resulting from photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity or any other purpose that may assist in promoting our events and organization. This might include (but not limited to) the right to use them in their printed or online publicity and/or social media. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the event organizers.ATTENDEES TAKING PHOTOS AND/OR VIDEO - Any photography and/or video taken by attendees is not to be used for professional purposes without the written consent and/or authorization from the event organizers. PLEASE obtain permission before photographing other attendees, vendors, speakers/workshops, or entertainers.

Northern California Black Hat Society® - Based in Sacramento, California and serving the Northern California area since 2016.

The Mission Statement of the NorCalBHS® is simple. We are here to support and celebrate our diverse community. We are also here to preserve and maintain the dignity and honor of being a Pagan, Witch, Practitioner of Magik, Healer and/or Heathen.

We are Practitioners of the Old Ways & Ancient Arts!

Our society honors the ways of our ancestors, in hopes of continuing traditions and teaching the next generations. We are a faith based organization with our roots deep in Paganism. We recognize the divine in nature and spirit. All paths are honored and respected among our members and we provide a safe and welcoming community to celebrate and commune together. We truly strive to bring like-minded folks together to help put humankind back in harmony with the Earth, and each other.

We are a private society that organizes and hosts public classes, meet-ups, rituals, and cultural and spiritual based events to celebrate our Sabbats, Esbats and Holidays.
We also host public quarterly Full Moon Festivals & Open-Air Markets and our annual Full Moon Festival & Samhain Ritual in October, and the largest Norse themed event in the area with our annual Old Norse Yule Gathering & Viking Feast every December.
