Next to the Christmas tree, Oktoberfest is the most popular German custom that Germany has ever exported to the rest of the world, and with more than 35,000 expected visitors over the two weekends, the American German Club of the Palm Beaches brings the tastes of Bavaria to South Florida.

The German (actually Bavarian) celebration of beer and good times has gradually caught on in many parts of the world. For the last 43 years the American-German Club of the Palm Beaches hosts its traditional Oktoberfest on the second and third weekend of October.

American German Club of the Palm Beaches

Welcome to the American German Club of the Palm Beaches, located in the Lantana-Lake Worth area. The Club was established in 1967 for the purpose of fostering mutual friendship and relationship with German Culture, to spread among others an understanding of German traditions and customs. To achieve this goal our over 400 club members welcome the public to our events.

There's always something going on at the Club, like our Friday night Dinner Dance, our Sunday Fruehschoppen, our monthly Picknick, Winefest, Oktoberfest, Christkindlesmarket, and so much more. For more info check our our website at

The American German Club strives to promote the cultural value of German customs, opportunities for good fellowship "Gemütlichkeit’, preservation of German cultural artifacts for future generations, and education of the public of Palm Beach County. As a not-for-profit organization, we choose to give back generously to the community through our Donation fund.
