If you've been thinking about joining one of the fastest growing hobbies in the U.S. -- Beekeeping, then NOW is the time to learn how to become one!

Honey bees must be ordered in December/January in order to receive them in Spring 2018, and beekeeping equipment must be purchased during the winter months so that you'll receive it before Spring. So, Fall is one of the best times to learn how to be a beekeeper. It gives you all Winter to read up, watch videos, attend classes, and learn all you can before you get your bees.

What you'll learn:
- We will teach you everything you need to know to get started as a competent beekeeper!
- Do you have what it takes to be a beekeeper?
- Environmental, legal, and neighborhood restrictions to consider
- Why our honeybees are dying worldwide
- How our pollinators affect our food supply
- Selecting a site location for your bees
- What type of bees to buy
- Basic beekeeping equipment needed
- How to get your bees into your hive once you get them
- Hive inspection techniques
- Hive management throughout the calendar year with a "to-do" list
- Identifying hive pests and diseases, preventing and treating them
- How to harvest your honey
- Labeling, bottling, and selling your honey
- and much, much more!!!
