So You Think You Can Work?
Tomorrow's Workplace – New Moves for Students and Companies

The Innovation Effect is proud to participate at Oslo Innovation Week for the fourth time. This year, we will set the spotlight on tomorrow's workplace. We will showcase the benefits of connecting young creative minds with established companies by presenting the results of our latest projects in collaboration with co-partners Equinor, Miris, EY and NBBL. And we will have an exciting panel talk on studies vs. work and how to bridge the gap between education and employment.

The needs and demands of the workplace are in constant change and the expectations of young professionals are increasing. In addition to requiring strong interpersonal skills and an innovative mindset, companies state that work-related experience is an essential factor when recruiting recent graduates. Meanwhile, students complain about the lack of school-driven internships and sufficient opportunities to practice their academic knowledge. Are the Universities and Colleges failing to do their job; to prepare students for work? Are the companies expecting too much for entry-level employment? Or are the students oblivious to their own responsibility for gaining the skills and experience needed to success in tomorrow’s workplace? Hear the opinions of our panellist representing both the employer side, academia and students/young professionals.

Join us for an interactive session at MESH and take part in the discussion! Do you think you can work in tomorrow's workplace?

The event is free, but you need to sign up in advance. Get your tickets by following the green "Register" button at the top.

Please arrive early for registration at the event from 12.20 to no later than 12.45. We will kick the event off with a big surprise!
