Biographies of Speakers:

Ian C. Dundas - President and CEO - Enerplus

Mr. Dundas became President and Chief Executive Officer of Enerplus on July 1, 2013. He joined the company in 2002 as Vice-President of Business Development, where he was responsible for corporate acquisition and divestment strategies. In 2010, his role expanded to that of Executive Vice-President. In 2011, Mr. Dundas was appointed to Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, where he oversaw the development and execution of the company's operational strategies, strategic planning, marketing and reserves, as well as acquisitions and divestments. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dundas is responsible for overall leadership of the strategic and operational performance of Enerplus.

Prior to joining Enerplus, Mr. Dundas held several executive positions in the merchant banking business, where he helped oil and gas companies grow by accessing the funding and expertise they required. Mr. Dundas is a member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and a Governor of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers. Mr. Dundas holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Distinction) from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Laws (Distinction) from the University of Alberta. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 1995.


Marty Proctor - President & CEO and Director - Seven Generations Energy

Marty was named President & Chief Executive Officer in July 2017, and was elected to the Board of Directors in May 2017. He joined Seven Generations in May 2014 as President and Chief Operating Officer. Marty has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and natural gas industry in Canada and internationally.

Before 7G, Marty was Chief Operating Officer of Baytex Energy from January 2009 until May 2014. Prior to Baytex, he held executive roles as Senior Vice President responsible for upstream operations at Statoil Hydro Canada, Senior Vice President of North American Oil Sands Corporation and Vice President of Murphy Oil Company. Earlier in his career, Marty held technical and management positions at Maxx Petroleum, Central Resources (USA), BP Resources Canada and Husky Oil. His international work included assignments in Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Norway and the United States. Marty began his career in the energy industry working as a roughneck on drilling rigs in Alberta, British Columbia, and the Northwest Territories. A professional engineer and a member of APEGA, the Canadian Heavy Oil Association and the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Marty earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta.

Jonathan Wright - President and CEO - NuVista Energy Ltd.

Mr. Wright has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of NuVista Energy Ltd. since May 9, 2011. Mr. Wright has more than 28 years experience in the oil and gas industry.

Prior to joining NuVista, Mr. Wright has held progressively more responsible roles both domestically and abroad with Talisman Energy Ltd., most recently as Senior Vice-President of Talisman's North American Conventional Production Division which produced approximately one-half of Talisman's North American production at the time. Prior to joining Talisman in 1995, Mr. Wright spent six years with Shell Canada Ltd. in various operations and business development roles.

Mr. Wright possesses both a Masters and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (with great distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned, among other awards, the Canadian Governor General's Gold Medal for being the Outstanding University Post-Graduate for his pursuit in hydraulics and computer controls.

In addition, Mr. Wright serves on the Board of Governors for CAPP, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.
