OHNY East River Boat Tour with WXY and SHoP
Pier 15, East River Esplanade
Over the past two decades, the ecological restoration of New York’s East River has helped open its waterfront to significant new development. Several major projects, proposed or now in construction, will further transform the East River into a bustling center of residential and commercial activity. Join Open House New York for its annual summer boat tour up the East River for a discussion about architecture and urban design along this revitalized waterway.
Speakers include Claire Weisz, Principal of WXY Architecture + Urban Design; Angelica Trevino Baccon, Senior Design Associate, SHoP Architects; and Captain Pamela Hepburn, Founder and Director, Tug Pegasus Preservation Project.
Rain or Shine.
Boat leaves promptly at 12:30 pm. Please arrive 20 minutes early to check-in.
