Center for Architecture Sarasota

The Center for Architecture Sarasota works to provide a sustainable platform for the University of Florida CityLab-Sarasota graduate studies in architecture program, to advocate for the historical preservation and revival of Sarasota School of Architecture buildings, and to call to action resources that promote and educate Sarasota and its visitors to the legacy of the founding architects of the Sarasota School of Architecture and the history of the built environment as it relates to our regions heritage. Together with our members, we can preserver the history of innovative architecture in Sarasota while helping to shape the future of the profession through education. For more information visit

The Center will be located at 265 S. Orange Avenue in a renovated mid-century modern building designed in 1960 by Sarasota School of Architecture architects William Rupp and Joe Farrell.
