Come take a walk through a top-10 countdown of some of our greatest recording artists’ non-commercial jams!!
Before CDs and MP3s dominated the landscape, recording artists had 2 chances to impress potential fans, with vinyl records being the music industry’s preference since 1908. The ‘A-side’ was where the ‘hit’ record was placed, as it was the song the artists and record executives believed had the biggest chance of success. However, many artists throughout history have had ‘B-side’ tracks that have been bigger hits and/or have developed significant meaning to fans around the world.
While the physical concept of the B-side disappeared with the advancement of technology, the concept still applies as record labels market ‘A-side’ quality tracks as singles to promote upcoming albums. This shows aims to highlight those otherwise labeled ‘B-side’ tracks from our favorite artists and create yet another memorable experience for music lovers of Charlotte.
