Oella Entrance Garden Maintenance Work - Day 1
Event Information
About this Event
Join the Oella Entrance Garden Team to help carry and distribute multiple tons of sand, compost, and large paving stones to create a new pathway in the garden. The current pathway has become compacted and needs to be improved for both the garden and visitors alike.
Please keep in mind this task will require heavy lifting and other strenuous activities. If you do not feel comfortable with this type of activity, you will want to pass on this event.
This event will begin at 9 am and go past noon (or for as long as volunteers feel up for working). You're invited to assist on one or both weekend days; please register for each day, if that is your intention
The garden is located across from The Trolley Stop restaurant and parking can be found in Lot A.
If you feel up to the task, please register here. We encourage volunteers to bring any shovels they may have with them to reduce the need to share tools. Masks covering the nose and mouth will be required.
Please continue reading below for a full outline of our attendance policy, COVID-19 safety guidelines, and electronic waiver.
Attendance Policy:
- Every individual who wishes to volunteer MUST register. If your name is not on the registration list at the start of the event, you will not be allowed to participate.
- If you are registering multiple people, please make sure to register each individual with their own name.

- If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms (not attributed to allergies or other medical conditions) 24-48 hours before an event, please refrain from attending: a fever or the need to take fever-reducing medication, difficulty breathing, coughing, pain or pressure in your chest, inability to stay awake, loss of smell and taste.
- Volunteers must keep at least a 6 foot distance from all volunteers not in their immediate household.
- Masks are required for all volunteers during the event. We understand the need to take breaks and drink water with your mask off, but you will need to do so distanced from the rest of the volunteers.
- Please bring your own work gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, and any tools you may want to use.
- If you begin to feel COVID-19 symptoms during an event, we respectfully ask that you immediately leave.
