Welcome to the 2017 Odysseyware Learning Summit. This year, you can look forward to news about upcoming releases, innovative implementation methods, practical information about best practices & curriculum alignments, creating an RTI program with Odysseyware SPARK and digital leadership. Programming is designed along two tracks – one for those of you just getting started with Odysseyware and another for people experienced with Odysseyware looking to innovate and improve.

Connect, contribute, and collaborate with your peers in Georgia! You will return to your school with exciting information, new skills, and innovative ideas for inspired teaching and learning.

7:30 – 8:30 AM: Registration and Breakfast
8:30 – 8:50 AM: Welcome and Introductions
8:50 – 9:50 AM: Guest speakers – 3 districts tell their stories.
9:50 –10:00 AM: Break
10:00 –10:45 AM: Consulting Sessions

Option A: Odysseyware 101 | Steve Blagg
Hands-on session giving beginners the basics of Odysseyware from the teacher and student perspective.  Explore the curriculum and learn how to assign courses.  In addition, learn about monitoring student progress through the Gradebook Tab and Odysseyware Reports.

Option B: Managing the Odysseyware classroom | Misty Blackmon
During this session participants will work with 3 Odysseyware tools to help promote whole group engagement, motivate student autonomy and create transitional practices useful for any classroom, lab or before/after school setting.

 Option C: Make It Personal | Dana Fountain

Personalized learning is intended to promote the success of each student by determining their needs, interests, and ambitions. Henry County Schools’ (GA) vision is captured in the phrase “Ensuring Success for Each Student.” During this session, participants will discover how Odysseyware is used to support their vision and how the partnership has been a driving force in our developments.

11AM – 11:45 AM: Consulting Sessions

Option A: Odysseyware 102 | Dana Fountain
New users will continue discovering the tools available for teachers and students in Odysseyware. Users will have the opportunity to search for resources and customize courses based on student needs.

Option B: Create engaging lessons by adding videos and teacher created materials | Steve Blagg

The Odysseyware teacher authoring tool gives teachers the ability to add videos, documents, images, web links, and assessments.  In this session, participants will create a unique lesson, and learn how to add their own content to create an engaging lesson of their own making.  For those attending this session, it will be helpful to have access to a cloud based depository for videos and links such as a Google Drive account or a YouTube account.

Option C: What a Digital World | Misty Blackmon
During this session participants will identify the attributes of an effective digital leader, explore initial steps and best practices for digital implementations and create measurable next steps to move forward.

12:50 – 1:35 PM: 2017 summer release preview – this is going to be a WOW! Best release in 10 years…

1:35 – 1:45 PM: Break

1:45 – 2:45 PM: Networking session

2:45 – 3:00 PM: Wrap-up/door prizes


I'd like to stay overnight at the summit hotel. What accommodations are offered?

We are proud to extend the group rate to our summit attendees. Please book your stay directly through the hotel (Odysseyware cannot book rooms for our customers and is not responsible for costs associated with your stay).  To reserve sleeping room(s), click here. Hotel staff will be able to answer your questions regarding accomodations and concessions.

What should I bring to the event?

BYOD - Bring Your Own Device! You will be encouraged to login to your Odysseyware site and follow paths and features as you collaborate with your team. Don't forget to bring your power cord and "power up". Pens, notepads, agenda, training materials, and WiFi provided.

Are meals provided?

Yes. Your registration includes breakfast, lunch, and breaks with beverages and snacks.

Does the OWLS attendance count toward professional development hours?

Absolutely! At the end of the summit, each customer will receive a signed certificate for 8 hours of completed updated training.

Do I have to bring a printed ticket to the event?

No, we are a ticketless event!

I noticed my credit card was processed through Eventbrite instead of Odysseyware. Is this correct?

Yes. Odysseyware is proud to use Eventbrite's payment processing system, so all charges processed on your credit card will be via Eventbrite and will show up on your statement as such.

What is the cancellation policy?

We offer a 100% refund if reservation is cancelled up to 24 hours before the start of the summit. Go to your Current Orders by clicking My Tickets. Next to your order, click on the Request a Refund button, fill out the short contact form, click Send message, and your message will be sent directly to the event organizer who will follow-up with you shortly.
