About this event

Sex is everywhere, but are we really talking about it? How often do we get an opportunity to reflect on our experiences in a real and meaningful way? What is your sexual story?

In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to reflect upon their relationships to their bodies and sexualities, receive some collective sex education, and start writing their own stories in a supportive environment.

This is a consent-based workshop - you can participate at whatever level feels comfortable to you! There will be small group discussions, but all sharing is optional.

The event will conclude with the opportunity to purchase sexuality-related books and merchandise created by the facilitators.

  • This workshop is inclusive of all bodies and sexual experiences.
  • No prior experience writing or sharing stories necessary.
  • Conversations about sex and sexuality can bring up trauma. We will do our best to create a safe and supportive environment and refer people to resources as needed.
  • Date: Thursday, July 14, 2022
  • Where: South Park Hall, 1253 S Cloverdale St, Seattle, WA 98108
  • Time: 6:00 - 8:30pm

About the Facilitators:

Breona Mendoza (she/her) is a queer sex educator, sex therapist, author, and avid supporter of self-love in all respects of the word. Her book, Clitaurus Chronicles, is a sex education story that uses art and metaphor to convey important lessons around communication, consent, and pleasure. She owns and operates a therapy practice called Colorful Therapy where she works with youth and adults to build relationships skills, self-love, and liberation. She spends the rest of her time cultivating a sex positive community, eating absurd amounts of peanut butter, finding excuses to play dress up, and contemplating ingenious ways to empower people to become more comfortable and loving with their parts. Naomi Price-Lazarus (she/her) is a sexuality educator, event facilitator, dance party host, and ultimate frisbee player and coach. She is passionate about creating space for youth and adults to explore and celebrate their bodies and sexualities, and cultivate stronger connections to their communities. She also creates and sells art that celebrates sexual anatomy and pleasure. Outside of her many jobs, Naomi spends her time playing sports, baking cookies, and traveling around the world.
