Description

October's Weeksville Weekends may be our most exciting yet!

We launch October 14th with the renaming of Buffalo Avenue to Joan Maynard Way, honoring our founding Executive Director for her vision and committment to saving the memories of self.

We welcome artist Walis Johnson, as she presents her incredible work on red lining in communities of color. Damian Joel returns for the second installment of his fashion illustration workshop based on our exhibition "Fashioning the Women of Weeksville". Rev up your competative spirit in the Family Fun Zone filled with our favorite games like Connect 4 and Jenga. Tours of the Historic Hunterfly Road Houses begin at 3pm and run hourly until 5pm. Rounding out this jam packed day, is a reading of the stageplay "Ghost Writer".

1pm - 6pm: Red Lining Project

3pm, 4pm, 5pm - Historic Hunterfly Road Houses Tour
