Event description

Trailmix is a weekly hiking group interested in exploring trails in Southern California. We are for experiencing the pleasures of nature and finding adventure in the outdoors. Participation in the group is free. Although, some trails may require a fee to their overseeing agency. Trailmix organizers bring their own style to the group but you will always find a friendly atmosphere and band of support on every trail. Keep in mind Trailmix organizers are no experts, just fans of positive experiences, fun, and an occasional challenge. If you'd like, hit the hiking trails with us. We'd love to have you!

Whether you come solo, with friends, or with family, here are a few items to consider bringing with you:

1. Water- Keep hydrated with at least 2 liters of water
2. Food- Provide your body with energy and enough food to complete any given hike
3. Appropriate clothing- Dress for the weather and activity level (e.g. a hat, sunscreen, and/or sunglasses, layers of clothing when cold, gloves, beanie, extra socks, walking sticks, etc.)
4. Appropriate footwear- Give your feet good hiking shoes/boots, your feet will thank you later.
5. Earbuds- Hike to a beat without disturbing wildlife or our fellow hikers
6. First aid- Basic supplies could come in handy (e.g. bandaids, antiseptic wipes, Aspirin)
7. Portable chargers- Camera and social media usage drain devices fast. Side note: Keep in mind cell service is not always available while hiking
8. Respect for wildlife- Feeding or approaching animals can disrupt their natural ability to survive.
9. A positive attitude - Help us create a community you'd be happy to be a part of!
