Event Details

The last 2 years, I've saved you a seat at my table and slowly introduced you to the flavors of Latin America. My only regret, is that I've not been able to spend time with you one-on-one at the table. I'm changing that this year! Once a month, I will hold a Sunday Dinner, much like the meals I had with my aunts and family every Sunday at my Grammy's when I was growing up.

These will be casual, family-style dinners, featuring the meals my husband and I share on a daily basis. There will also be an interactive portion, giving you a peek at how to use some of my favorite Latin ingredients and techniques. As always, bring your favorite bottle of wine and elastic waistband pants, as we have fun in the kitchen and break bread together.

Pan con Tomate - crusty bread with tomato and olive oil

Paella de Cerdo y Mariscos - this is my take on Spanish paella, rice made better by the addition of saffron, pork and an array of seafood.

 Ensalada Verde - tossed green salad

A Secreto Pop Up Dinner is a culinary adventure for amateur food lovers to indulge their infatuation with all things food. Whether you’re Foodspotting or trading family recipes, attending cooking classes or learning about exotic cuisines, Chef It Yourself was created for those who want to challenge their palate with new experiences.


With a clear focus on Latin-Caribbean cuisine, my recipes encompass various foods, styles, flavors and techniques of the world.


In 2014, I've launched an underground dinner series called Secreto Pop-Up Dinners to invite you to my table. Hosted monthly for 10 people at an undisclosed location, these 4 course, wine-paired dinners showcase my love of Latin flavors.
