Event Details

The Triangle’s economy has been growing at a rapid pace, and more and more companies are seeking out our area every day to call their home. Why is our area such a hotbed for business? Are we ready for all this growth? How will we stay competitive with other areas? Is the A/E/C industry prepared for future development, and if not, what can we be doing? Join us for an exciting and enlightening panel of area leaders who will discuss why the Triangle region continues to have such great economic growth and what this means to our industry.
Ryan Combs, Executive Director, Research Triangle Regional Partnership (RTRP)
Ryan Combs is executive director of RTRP, a position he assumed in February 2017 following his appointment by the organization’s board of directors. Ryan works closely with economic development organizations in each of RTRP’s member counties to market the competitive advantages of the Research Triangle Region to potential investors. Ryan joined RTRP from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety where he served as Legislative Director for the Department’s Government Affairs initiatives. Previously, Ryan served for eight years on United States Senator Richard Burr’s staff, traveling throughout the state of North Carolina as a field representative. Through that experience, he developed close relationships with business and community leaders to learn about and address important issues facing communities.

Adrienne Cole, President and CEO, Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce
As the President and CEO, Adrienne Cole heads the Triangle’s largest nonprofit business membership organization representing two-thirds of the private sector employment in Wake County. Previously, Cole served as the Chamber’s Senior Vice President of Economic Development and Executive Director of Wake County Economic Development where she led her team to recruit new business, support existing industries, market Wake County and the Triangle region, and help companies attract the talent needed to grow and thrive. Her additional career accomplishments include working to secure and improve state and local economic development incentives, recruiting Campbell Law School to Raleigh, and facilitating Red Hat’s headquarters expansion to downtown Raleigh.

Linda Hall, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina
Linda Hall has led the oversight and management of the Foundation’s finances, investments, human resources, IT, and operations for over 10 years. In addition to the day-to-day fiscal management of the Foundation’s assets, Linda is heavily involved in the strategic financial positioning of the investments made in RTP and management of properties owned by the Foundation and its subsidiaries. Linda plays a key role in: the Foundation’s laboratory campus redevelopment; The Frontier campus; the Park Center mixed-use development planning; and the acquisition, renovation, and leasing for nearly 700K SF of commercial office space.
