The International Association of Peer Supporters (iNAPS) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the use of peer support services worldwide. Founded in November 2004 by a group of avid peer supporters, the organization has quickly grown with members from every state and several countries outside the U.S.In 2013, the name of the organization was changed from the National Association of Peer Specialists(NAPS) to the International Association of Peer Supporters(iNAPS) to be more inclusive of all peer workers, not just those with a peer specialist certification, and to reflect the increasingly global membership.
The Colorado Mental Wellness Network hosts the Colorado Chapter of iNAPS and monthly phone conferences to support people working as peer providers (both mental health and substance use peers) in Colorado. Anyone throughout the state who works as a peer specialist, peer navigator, peer mentor or recovery coach is welcome to attend these meetings.
Each meeting includes time for support and networking and educational opportunities. Join us the second Wednesday of the month by phone: 1-641-715-3272 code: 674853# (.)
