About this Event

Beautify your yard, cut down on sweaty landscape work, and help Florida’s delicate ecosystem by planting native plants. October is Florida Native Plant Month. Attend a FREE class to learn about native Florida landscape plants that will grow well in your yard. Put the “right plant in the right place” when you learn to select plants for your soil moisture, sunlight and shade conditions. Search for plants that are good for birds, butterflies, and wildlife. Find out where you can buy native plants locally to enhance your landscape.

Presented by Eleanor Foerste, Emeritus Faculty from the University of Florida. In partnership with the Osceola Library System, University of Florida IFAS Extension in Osceola County, the Florida Native Plant Society - Pine Lily Chapter, and the City of St. Cloud.

This class is offered at a variety of locations around Osceola County. Choose the one that works best for you. Please register for the FREE classes online so we have enough materials.
