Let's get IMPACTed! Investing in your Maturity through Practical Application that Confirms your Trust in God

About this Event

We want you to join the ASBC Family to join us for one of our powerful ministry workshops! All of our participating ministries have prayed and prepared each of the workshops to inform you and strengthen your relationship with God!

Check out all of the exciting ministry workshops being offered in October below:

A Few Good Men Entrepreneurs- Join us for a Panel Discussion with ASBC male entrepreneurs. Learn how they started and what they consider success!

Are you Wired... to be Your Own Boss?- Have you ever dreamed of owning your own business, being your own boss - in charge of your own life and your own salary? Polls state that 56% of people would like to own their own business, yet only 5% do! This seminar is designed to help those pondering starting their own business and needing guidance on where to start, what’s required for operationalization, and ultimately growth. Join the CDM to find out:

  • How to decide if business ownership is for you
  • The different types of businesses to consider
  • Potential ways to finance that opportunity

Also this is for those already in business but the organization’s growth has stalled and fervor is waning. If you’re interested in an insightful discussion and getting critical questions answered, you are encouraged to attend.

Family Law Clinic- Please join the Legal Resources, Divorce Care, and Family Services Ministries for our annual Family Law Clinic. The Clinic will feature panelist discussions on adoption, alimony, child custody, child support, divorce & separation, and elder law. Open to Alfred Street and the public. Additionally, free 15-minute attorney consultations are available to interested participants. Register online today!

Father Hunger: Nourishing the Family- This interactive workshop will provide an in-depth analysis of how African American fathers impact their families in positive and not-so positive ways. Participants will learn the power and impact of fatherhood on our families. The following concepts will be explored: engaged vs. disengaged fathers, absenteeism of fathers/father-figures, and myths attached to African American fatherhood. We will explore the definition of "Father Hunger" and learn strategies for feeding our families spiritually and emotionally. People of all genders are welcome.

For Chaplains Only- This course is open to all chaplains as a quarterly briefing on strategies and tips for an effective chaplain within various ministries.

Men of Faith: Reaching Men of This Generation- The Impact Workshop will empower the men by using the "How To Do It" approach which uses eight styles of evangelism. The objective is to show the difference between these styles of evangelism while providing a tool of choice for use as they evangelize men and/or women that they encounter.

Real Men Read Book Discussion - Men will meet to discuss chapters 3-7 of DeVon Franklin's "The Truth About Men!"

What To Do When Infertility Hits Home- This workshop will focus on the challenges of experiencing infertility struggles within the household. Infertility specialists will educate on various forms of infertility that can affect men, ways to seek treatment personally, and the best ways to support a spouse who needs treatment.
