Event description

Description

Cacao is increasingly known for its many health benefits - not just a confectionary or treat. A cacao ceremony involves drinking raw cacao as a healing ritual, with intention and respect for its medicinal value.

Halloween is not just a time for ghouls and fancy dress but in fact a period of the year when the veil between seen and unseen is thinner. All Saints Day, 1st November, is less common these days but was traditionally a time to honour our ancestors. Drinking cacao is a very heart opening experience, and it may be a potent time to be open to any messages or wisdom from the subtler realms.

We allow a few hours for the ceremony so everyone has time to set intentions at the start and process thoroughly afterwards. If you have never tried any plant medicines before, I highly recommend this gentle plant - after all, who hasn't enjoyed a hot chocolate with friends?

I look forward to seeing you over a hot steaming cup of cacao soon!

FAQs

What should I bring into the event?

I suggest you bring:

Warm, comfy clothes

a journal and a bottle of water

a blanket and cushion – whatever you need to be comfortable lying on the floor.

We may also go out to enjoy a bonfire....bring warm clothes and sturdy shoes. This is optional!

NB: Ideally, cacao is best taken on an empty stomach and not after caffeine. I recommend no coffee in the morning, and no food after
8am - or none at all if your belly can take it. Please get in touch if you have any medical queries or other general questions, for example if you are pregnant or in anti-depressants.
