Make sure you read this full post and all directions before proceeding with your order. If you are planning to use Charter School Instructional Funds for all of your spaces, DO NOT ENTER A CREDIT CARD NUMBER, if it is asking you for a payment then you did not follow the directions for using Instructional Funds. Please go back and read the directions again.

Sign-ups open on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 10:00 AM, space is limited so register early to secure your spot!

Sign-ups close on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 11:59 PM unless sold out prior to that date.

Join us on Monday, October 29, 2018, at 9:00 AM for a field trip to Amy's Farm.

The guided educational tour will consist of a garden walk, harvesting of fresh herbs, visit to the petting zoo, feeding chickens and or pigs, milking a cow and grooming a horse. At the end of the tour, each child will be allowed to take home a pumpkin from the garden.

This field trip is hosted by Inspire Teacher Debbie Holm and in Homeschool Concierge fashion is open to all homeschoolers.



Important Event/Field Trip Details:

Is there on-site parking available?

Vehicles may enter at 7698 Eucalyptus Ave. Please drive slowly in our driveway into the parking lot. Spaces are available facing North/South. There is not a fee for parking. Please do not block the driveway or pull through lanes. We recommend families carpool as parking will be limited.

Directions:

From the 60 or 10 fwy exit Euclid Ave. Go south to Eucalyptus Ave (approximately 4 miles south from the (60 fwy) Turn left (east) on Eucalyptus Ave. Go about 1 mile to our driveway located on the left-hand side.
From the 71 fwy, exit Euclid Ave. Go North about 3 miles to Eucalyptus Ave. Turn right (east) Go about 1 mile to our driveway located on the left-hand side.
** Please be aware most GPS systems give incorrect directions to our farm. Please follow directions above or directions on our website.**

What are the check-in procedures?

Please check in with the host in front of Amy's store by 8:45 AM. The tour will start at 9:00 AM.

We arrived after a long drive but have not met up with the group yet, where are the nearest restrooms?

The closest restroom is near the parking lot - they are porta potties.

Is there any other important info I may need to know before arriving?

Harvesting Hands: Amy’s Farm has established relationships with various food banks within the Inland Valley. Our farm weekly donates fresh produce to the food banks. If your group would like to bring canned food or boxed food items, our farm will distribute them to the local food banks along with the fresh produce!

Farm Stand: Our farm stand proudly offers produce, grass-fed beef, USDA certified organic pork, and eggs fresh from our farm. We also offer goat cheese from our friends at Drake's Farm, soap made from goats milk from goats in our petting zoo, and local raw honey from our friends at Hometown Hive.

Amy’s Farm does not sell bottled water, however, guests are welcome to bring water bottles and refill as needed. Water bottles are encouraged during the warm months!

Recommended Attire: We are a real working farm, and recommend wearing clothing for Southern California weather that you do not mind if it gets dirty. Please wear closed toed shoes and apply sunblock prior to arrival. In warm weather, we do recommend wearing a wide brim hat, and each guest has their own water bottle. Strollers and wagons are welcome. We recommend using Graco type strollers and avoid umbrella type strollers as the ground is not even.

Can we pack snacks or lunch for this event or field trip?

Yes, after the tour has ended groups are welcome to use the picnic table area. Tables are available on a first come first serve basis and are not available to be reserved for schools or groups.

If you prefer to visit a park for a picnic, they suggest Shady Grove Park, located about 1 mile from the farm.

Are there any restrictions on what attendees can pack for snacks or lunch?

Please refrain from bringing known foods with peanut and tree nut products to protect students with severe allergies.

What is the age range for this event or field trip?

This field trip is open to all ages. Those under 2 are free.

My child has special needs, what accommodations are available for this event or field trip?

The farm is wheelchair accessible, albeit a bit bumpy terrain! We have many special needs groups that visit the farm and have a wonderful time. Please contact the host well in advance of the event with any concerns.

What's the refund policy?

Families may cancel and receive a full refund ONLY while the field trip is still open for registration. If you need to cancel while the field trip registration is open please request a refund through your Eventbrite account.

To request a refund, go to Tickets in your Eventbrite account, find your order, then select "Request a Refund." Refunds can take up to 7-10 business days to show on your account.

If you have trouble requesting the refund or have additional questions please use the "Contact the Organizer" link through Eventbrite at the bottom of the event posting.

Once the field trip registration has closed there are no cancellations or refunds available because at that point the final numbers and payment have been submitted to the venue.

If you have an extenuating circumstance please contact the event host.

Can I pay out of pocket for our spaces?

Yes, families wishing to join us who want to pay out of pocket will select their tickets by using the arrow button on the right side of each ticket option to select how they will be paying for each required ticket. Any tickets that need to be paid out of pocket will be charged through your Eventbrite shopping cart and you will be able to pay online using your credit card through Eventbrite.

Can I pay using my student's charter school funds?

Yes, we are currently an approved vendor for Inspire Charter Schools, Valiant Prep, and Summit Academy. If you would like us to be approved at your charter please have them send their vendor application to Organizer@HomeschoolConcierge.com.

Please note: Families are responsible for orders placed. PayPal invoices will be sent to families who mistakenly registered using Charter School Instructional Funds if it is found that the student/child is not currently enrolled, does not have sufficient funds or if they have signed up more adult/chaperones than allowed by their enrolled charter school. If the PayPal invoices are not paid within 24 hours the family's reservation will be canceled and their spots will be given to the next family on the waitlist.

Is there any other important info for charter school families?

If you are an Inspire Charter School Family please fill out and bring the Inspire Mega Waiver the day of the event- one per family, you can fill in the names of everyone in your family.

Inspire covers the processing fees for their families and there is no need to enter your order in the Inspire Ordering System. If you have any questions or issues regarding any funds deductions, please email Inspire_Invoices@homeschoolconcierge.com.

If you are a Valiant Prep Family please make sure after you complete your order here that you also place your order through VOS. If you have any questions or issues regarding a PO or invoice, please email Valiant_Invoices@homeschoolconcierge.com.

If you are a Summit Academy Family please make sure after you complete your order here that you also submit via email your materials order form to your educational specialist and CC Summit_Invoices@homeschoolconcierge.com.

How do I specify how I am paying for our spaces?

Please read all the info about this field trip, take the time now to add this event or field trip to your family calendar, please follow all the prompts when registering and be sure to enter all requested information.

1) Before you proceed to register for this event or field trip, please decide how many tickets you will be reserving using Charter School Instructional Funds and/or the number of spaces you need to pay for out of pocket.

2) You will click the green "Tickets" button in the upper right of the event posting. This will open the ticket selection window.

3) You will then use the arrow button on the right side of each ticket option to select how you will be paying for each ticket you need. Please select the number of tickets you need to pay for out of pocket and/or the ones you need to pay for using Charter School Student Instructional Funding.

If you are requesting to use Charter School Student Instructional Funding, please note that this does not indicate the order is free. Your Student's Instructional Funding account will be reviewed for available balance and funds will be withdrawn based on your order request about one week prior to the trip date.

4) If you are electing to pay for chaperone tickets to this event or field trip using your Student's Instructional Funds please know that they can only be used to pay for up to two (2) adult chaperone tickets max, per charter school family. This policy varies from school to school, please verify with your school what their policy is. Currently, we are approved with Inspire Charter Schools, Valiant Prep, and Summit Academy. Here is the policy for the charter school programs we are currently approved with. Policies may change and we will do our best to update our site but please know that you are responsible for payment on tickets you reserve.

Once all core curriculum is in place for the current school year the student/chaperone ticket ratio limits are:

1 enrolled student in your family attending the trip = 1 total chaperone ticket paid by funds.

2+ enrolled students in your family attending the trip = 2 total chaperone tickets paid by funds.

5) Any other adults and non-charter enrolled children planning to attend with you must pay out of pocket for their space. As referenced above PayPal invoices will be sent to families who mistakenly registered using Charter School Instructional Funds if it is found that the student/child is not currently enrolled, does not have sufficient funds or if they have signed up more adult/chaperones than allowed by their enrolled charter school. If the PayPal invoices are not paid within 24 hours the family's reservation will be canceled and their spots will be given to the next family on the waitlist.

6) You will continue through the registration process and will notice that the total amount due should only reflect any out-of-pocket payments you need to make. All of the charter students and allowable charter chaperones you are reserving tickets for will be deducted from your total. This process will allow you to pay for any self-pay out of pocket tickets, in one transaction using your credit card through Eventbrite.

7) You will have 30 minutes to complete this transaction, after which time if you have not completed the transaction, your tickets will be returned to the queue.

8) If you have successfully completed the registration process you will receive an automatic order confirmation in your email inbox. You can also log into your Eventbrite account at any time to check what events you have signed up for.

9) Eventbrite email confirmations may include e-tickets, there is no need to print out or bring any Eventbrite tickets with you the day of the event or field trip. The host will have a list of attendees to check you in with. Please save paper.
