Amy Segami

From Painting On Water™ to Painting On Air™, Amy Lee Segami, a former engineer turned artist, executive, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker, helps others seeing possibilities.

Her journey of breaking through barriers, overcoming obstacles, and maintain resilience has practical lessons for business and motivational messages for daily life. The audience often comments that her speech shifts their perspectives, with improved mindset and skillset.

Known as a Mandarin Leader and the foremost practitioner of Suminagashi, she has received many honors and awards for her extraordinary ability to bring art and science together.

As the founder of TEDxIIT, she produced the longest running independently organized TED event in Chicago. She was invited to speak at the inaugural TEDx event, to attend the TED Global and TED Summit.

Suminagashi was only accessible for nobles, Shoguns, and Emperors centuries ago. Segami draws on her physics knowledge, revived an ancient art, and established a new contemporary art form. She has been featured by BBC, NPR, Chicago Crain's, TED Blog and HuffPost, just to name a few.   Linkedin Profile
