October 16th Media Training - 2 Sessions
Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (CDT)
PRSA Memphis is offering two concurrent workshops for PR professionals and anyone who may serve as a spokesperson with television media. You can choose to register for one OR both sessions - and lunch is included whether you attend a whole or half day of training.
Trainer: Dr. Joseph V. Trahan, III, APR, Fellow, PRSA, Trahan & Associates
AM Session: 9:00am - 12:00pm
At this session, you will learn how to present the three parts of an effective Media Relations Standup: preparation for the standup interviews, conducting the interview, and interview evaluation. This interactive training teaches techniques for delivering effective 10-12 second media sound bites that bridge to your key messages every time you speak to reporters. Ideal for new or veteran media spokespersons, this training will boost your confidence and increase your interviewing skills.
Lunch: 12:00pm, provided by The University Club
PM Session: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
This session is designed for the PR professional who is responsible for preparing spokespersons for media interviews. You'll learn how to coash representatives of your agency to provide targeted, effective messages to the public - and how to help the reluctant spokesperson feel more confident when talking with media.
3 hour sessions are $75 each; $125 for both sessions. PRSSA students can attend for $50 per session or $90 for both sessions. Lunch is included with all sessions. Space is LIMITED!
This event is being sponsored by PRSA Memphis Chapter and The Carter Malone Group.
