Description

BROKER CLASS OVERVIEW 90 hour class Broker Pre-Licensing M,T,TH 5:30 to 9:30pm

If you would like to come in person to register for a class or pick up materials please come to our administrative office at 9279 N. Meridian right next door to our classroom location. Office Hours: M-F 8:30 to 5:00.

This is the 90 hour pre-licensing course to get a real estate license in Indiana. This is the first step in becoming a real estate agent.

Topics include: real property, agency law, brokerage, listing agreements, forms of ownership, legal descriptions, real estate taxes, contracts, deeds and title, financing, notes and mortgages, land contracts, leases, property management, appraisal, development, fair housing, environmental issues, real estate mathematics, closing the transaction, and Indiana License law.

The purpose of our classes is to prepare students to pass the Indiana Brokers Exam. Though we are not teaching students "how to sell" real estate, we pride ourselves in bringing real life experience to class. This helps provide memorable examples of classroom topics and concepts.

The cost for the 90 hour course includes all materials; text book and handouts. We offer day and evening classes throughout the year at 9247 N. Meridian Indianapolis, In 46260 Ste. 215.

Upon passing of our course, the student will receive a certificate of completion, and then can take the State Exam.

Applicants must be 18 years old and have no criminal convictions that could affect your dealings with the public, such as fraud or violence. Having a conviction does not automatically preclude you from licensure, it would just trigger a hearing. They must also have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. You must also be a qualified alien and have a "Permenant Residency" card when you apply for your license.

**Schedule subject to change at Director's discretion.

**Special Note: (Indiana Law provides that all residents of the state (and some non-residents) have the opportunity to earn an Indiana Real Estate license provided they have a high school education or a General Education Diploma and have successfully completed other educational and testing requirements.

An exception to this rule exists dealing with individuals convicted of crimes that might have a bearing on that individual’s ability to be fair, safe, and honest with members of the public.

If an applicant has a previous felony conviction, and especially if that individual is currently on probation for that offense, the Tucker School of Real Estate encourages the applicant to contact the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency for counsel prior to enrolling in a pre-licensing class.)
