Are you looking for a new way to network? Have you heard of Sarasota's Premier Networking Event & Expo, Marketing on Main (MonM)? It is the LARGEST consistent networking event & expo in the state that brings together hundreds. Get ready to feel the energy with up to 600 guests as we kick-off to the holidays on the last Wednesday in October at ALOFT Sarasota (PS this is our FAVORITE venue in the downtown area due to the experiences we are able to create. )

Feel the ripple effect from making connections, learning, finding opportunities, and creating unique ways to excel in a family environment at Spooky Good Connections. Ice breakers and activities that you can look forward to are the $2000 Halloween costume contest, learning about 50+ businesses that are resources in our hometown, seeing or participating in the dog costume parade, Speed Networking, and so much more!

  • Level 9: Backyard | Business Showcase (Limited to 22 )- The backyard is where all the action will happen ( Live music & demonstrations on a stage with a host) This ticket includes a 6-foot x 4-foot space set up in the BACKYARD at Aloft!   • Level 8: EXchange | B. Showcase (Limited to 14) - The EXchange area is located past the backyard and ideal for businesses that require more education. Your 6x4 foot space will be located at the entry of the backyard! You will enjoy natural light and a music free area! You are encouraged to create an interactive way to show off your products or services. YOU are the stars of the show at MonM!   • Level 7: Showcase | Spooky Outdoor Lounge (Limited to 7) - Does your team have high energy? Then your business will want to choose the S. Outdoor Lounge as you enjoy the fall weather. Your 6 x 4-foot space is an affordable way to connect with professionals create an interactive way to showcase your product or service! The outdoor lounge is located right outside the EXchange room and VIP Speakeasy. Your showcase this month includes a standard 6-foot table and table cloth.   • Level 6: Guest | VIP Conversation Lounge & Spook-easy - This lounge was created to solve challenges of it being too loud, wearing uncomfortable shoes, and wanting to strictly socialize! This ticket includes 1. Early VIP Happy Hour & Meet & Greet access to MonM on Wednesday, Oct 30th ( 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM). 2. Exclusive activities and food 3.   • Level 5: Guest | 5:20 PM | Speed Networking ( Gianna, founder of MonM, will be attending this session) - Are you looking to meet professional FAST and Effectively? Then you will want to reserve your seat for the 5:20 pm Speed Networking session. Gianna Kramer the founder of MonM will be attending this session PLUS you will be apart of the fastest and most effective way to meet up to 20 professionals in up to 60 minutes!   • Level 4: Guest | Creatives Meet & Greet - Are you a Photographer, Videographer, Model, Influencer, Makeup Artist, Entertainer, Nail Artist, or consider yourself a Creative? Then you will want to be apart of the creatives meet & greet co-hosted by Dana Marie. Dana is a 50 plus model, marathon runner, mother of six, and now a business owner in Sarasota ready to make a difference. She is bringing together the creatives in Sarasota who want to build their business by connecting with the business community at Marketing on Main.   • Level 3: Guest | Halloween Costume Contest - The creepy, the creative, & anyone in between,. All who enter MonM Village should be tempted to enter the costume contest. Entering into the MonM costume contest is simple. Make sure to grab your level 3 ticket to be entered as a contestant. Make sure to be there at 5:00 PM as Costumes will be judged throughout the entire night with the final round starting at 7:00-8:00 PM.

Prizes offered include:

  • One Grand Prize of $666 combined value ($500 cash & a $166 gift card to use at MonM at the Jan. 2020 event.)
  • One Second Place Prize of $333 combined Value ($200 CASH & $133 GIFT CARD to Jan. 2020 MonM )
  • One Third Place Prize of $111 combined value ( $72 CASH & $39 GIFT CARD to Jan. 2020 MonM)
  • Three Less-Honorable Mentions will receive A $13 gift cards to Jan. 2020 Marketing on Main.

RULES:

  • This is a family-friendly & professional event.
  • Community effort & positivity must be shared amongst all.
  • Those that enter the contest must leave their phone number and agree to be contacted via text message.
  • For guests that are entering the group, contest you must each purchase your own individual ticket.
  • Failure to comply with these rules will result in disqualification from contest and forfeit of prize money.

PRELIMINARY JUDGING: 5:00 - 6:00 PM | SOCIAL MEDIA VOTING.

Top 3-5 contestants per category (Most Unique or Most Creative, Best Duo or Best Couple, Best Group, Scariest, & Spiciest ) will move to the final round. Voting starts at 5:00 PM and finishes at 6:00 PM sharp.

FINALIST SELECTION: 6:30 - 6:45 PM | NOTIFYING THE FINALISTS VIA TEXT MESSAGE.

Contacted finalists MUST ARRIVE AT THE STAGE in the backyard prior to 6:45 PM for check-in or they will risk losing their position. If there is a no show the next highest voted will be contacted. There will be 3 to 5 finalists per category: Most Unique or Most Creative, Best Duo or Best Couple, Best Group, Scariest, & Spiciest.

LIVE JUDGING: 7:30 - 8:30 PM | GRAND PRIZES THE 2019 HALLOWEEN AFFAIR CONTEST WINNERS.

Finalists will be judged by a group of 3 independent judges & 3-5 guest judges selected from the crowd to vote on the best in each of the 5 categories:

  • Creativity and Originality
  • Best Duo or Best Couple
  • Best Group
  • Scariest
  • Spiciest

Each judge will give the contestants up to 5 points. Judges scores will be averaged to determine the winner. The winner of each category will compete for the grand prizes & scoring system will be reset.

FAQ Business Showcase tickets - set up a hands-on vendor showcase at the Sarasota.

  • How much does its cost? Tickets start at $70.00 & go up based on the location of your showcases. Showcases are limited and will go up in price by 10% every Saturday.
  • What is included in my showcase?
    • You will get an opportunity to attend an exclusive networking orientation and explore the venue while getting a sneak peek inside the event
    • You will have a 6-foot by 4-foot space to transform. You are encouraged to create a hands-on experience of your product and/or service. Gianna believes that 90% of business is created by first-hand experiences you have with people you like, know, and trust.
  • How do I send out invites? You are now apart of the team and you will help make this event a success not only for you but for everyone involved by inviting a minimum of ten guests using the event page. @MarketingOnMainFL

HISTORY OF MARKETING ON MAIN:

Marketing on Main (MonM) is known to attract those that are filled with positivity, passion, and determination. MonM encourages Individuals, and teams to collaborate, connect, and network to make a positive difference personally and professionally. Individuals that attend MonM invite those that they wish to meet, create a relationship with or would like to build their relationship with.

MonM was started in 2016 by Gianna R. Kramer, a local business owner on the dreams of creating a platform that accepts feedback from the community and then uses that feedback to help accelerate professional and personal goals. After seeing growth and demand for the event...Gianna officially started the first season of MonM in 2017 by creating an event on the last Wednesday of each month and collecting feedback through using Facebook to vote on: Venue, non-profit or cause, and theme.

In July of 2019, Gianna moved MonM to every 90 days to allow for the event to allow for growth of the MonM brand. Stay tune for details.

Gianna believes that 90% of business is done with people you like and based on first-hand experiences. MonM continues to evolve based on feedback and some of our favorite assets are:

1. The hands-on business showcases allow guests to meet the business owners/staff first hand, and touch, see and experience their products and services first-hand. Some business showcases will have raffles, activities, and even promotions to try their products or services at a discount!

2. Speed Networking - Each month MonM has the option for guests to participate in speed networking. An activity that allows you to make up to 30 new connection in 30 minutes!

3. Community Support - Each month a portion of ticket sales goes directly to a non-profit or cause that directly helps the Sarasota Community.

4. Entertainment - Throughout the evening enjoy live entertainment from a range of entertainers and business owners. MonM is known to have BRAND new acts showcased to extremely popular, world-renowned artists. If you tune into the Facebook event page you will find details!

There not a minimum age requirement to enter the event. The MonM family request those that attend make a positive difference.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, it is okay if the ticket name does not match the person who attends.

What can I bring into the event?

You may bring anything that will help you connect, collaborate, or create a positive difference in another's life. Business cards, flyers for upcoming events are encouraged, but not required.
