Description

NOTE: The film will be shown On October 13, 2017, the film will be shown at HCC 1010 West Sam Houston Pkwy North, Houston, Tx 77043

The first health documentary ever to delve deep into the mystifying quandary of disease and death in the African and African Diaspora community. Statistics show that African Americans comprise approximately 14% of America's national population. Yet they suffer disproportionately from a myriad of diseases that are believed to be "genetic." Oddly enough there is no empirical data linking the ancient ancestral continental Africans to many of these modern day so-called diseases. Contrary to conventional wisdom, enslaved Africans did not arrive to the shores of America as a sick people. This film addresses all of the folklore and propaganda associated with sickness within the African American and African Diaspora communities.

The film's creator, Damien M., will lead a question & answer session at the conclusion of the documentary.

There will be several vendors in the building who will have healthy foods, healthy juices, in addition to hand made arts, crafts, & jewelry.

The following people people appear in the film:

*Cochise Tarak-Saa (Damien M.) *Djehuty Ma'at-ra *Dr. Llaila O. Afrika

*Doctah B. Sirius *Queen Vida Amuah *Nubia I. *Dr. Aris LaTham

No, you must supply your own table. There is no extra charge for electricity however you should call 832.707.5057 to let us know if you do need it so that we can make that accommodation for you, if at all possible. If it's not possible, we will let you know.

2. DO YOU LIMIT DUPLICATION?

Yes. We understand that duplicatoin at an event can be counterproductive to your success. We want to develop a good balance of products so we will limit the number of dealers in your category. For example, if you make copper jewelery, we would not have another vendor who has handmade jewelery although we might have another vendor who sells Tracy Lynn because handmade versus mass produced are not the same to us. Also, if you sell Jamaican food, we wouldn't have another Caribbean caterer but we might have a vendor that does 100% vegan food because the two types are different.

HCC West Loop South is expecting 500 people.
