There’s no better way to experience the joy and magic of the holidays than with the Ocean State Pops Orchestra at the dazzling Saint Rocco's Church!
Dr. Brian Cardany will conduct a Holiday Pops program filled with high energy, familiar carols, and holiday warmth. We’ll also throw in a surprise or two!
We can’t wait to celebrate the season with all of you!
The setting for this concert is the stunning Saint Rocco's Church in Johnston, RI, which will be arrayed in its best Christmas décor. The original wodden church was established by the bishop of Providence in 1903 and placed under the care of the Missionaries of St. Charles/Scalabrinians. The parish was given the name of St. Rocco, the patron saint of the town in Italy where a number of those then living in Thornton came from. The new church that stands today was built and dedicated by Bishop Russell McVinney on June 17, 1951.
The Ocean State Pops Orchestra looks forward to welcoming you to this special evening, featuring great music in a stunning and historic venue.
