This 2-day workshop (December 13-14) at Prairie Creek Lodge will bring together all of our prioritizing work to date to develop a conservation plan for the Ocala Longleaf Local Implementation Team. The reason you should be involved is that: 1) we want your perspective and experience to be a part of the plan, and, 2) the plan will determine where we will focus resources for the biggest conservation impact (so if there is some approach or place that you think is vital, make sure it gets represented).
Rob Sutter of Enduring Conservation Outcomes will lead us through this process to follow up on the work many of you have already done. We've already drafted some initial spatial priorities, defined our Key Conservation Outcomes and Desired Environmental and Human Well-being Outcomes, and defined and ranked Direct Limiting Factors (Threats) to those outcomes. Next we'll identify key strategic actions, record the logic for how those proposed strategic actions will get us to our Key and Desired Outcomes, and prioritize and map those actions.
Below is the agenda, and I will work to get lunch provided. What we're doing is no small feat, which is why we need your expertise there throughout the two days. Sign up and we look forward to seeing you there!
